At Shushannahblue Equestrian horses are our passion and we believe in making all interactions with any horse or pony as positive an experience as possible for all parties involved.

We believe horses and ponies should be allowed to be the happy, calm and inquisitive animals nature intended them to be and that the happier they are the more fun we can have with them!

We also belive that learning should be fun, for human and equine partner and that as long as we keep enjoying ourselves, each session can teach us something new - even the seasoned proffesional!

We are very interested in the horse in its natural state but also understand that the addition of our civilisation into the equation changes things tremendously. Finding the perfect balance to gain the strongest relationship possible is a goal we constantly strive toward. This way of thinking takes into consideration the psychological, physiological and behavioual well being of the horse.

This does not mean we are the 'tree-hugging the natural way is the only way' type! We simply strive to live and work with and open mind and open eyes to pick up on any clue the horse tries to send our way, and come to an understanding where the animal trusts us enough to do anything we ask of it, not simply do it because its better than getting a crack round the chops.

We work toward a relaxed way of going in a natural outline which supports the horses back and enables it to carry the wait of the rider in the most effective way, working through from behind and into the bridle, responding to the most subtle aids and concentrating on the rider and not its surroundings.

We aim to desinsitise horses to the 'monsters' that can make the nicest of hacks impossible & to the constant distractions in the school, purley through working on the trust between horse and human and helping the animal understand just what it can cope with and figure out as it goes along!

In short our goal is to help all horses, ponies and riders reach their potential, and enjoy every step along the way!

GROUNDWORK COACHING (to improve youir relationship & understanding or to overcome a particuliar problem)
